Howard M. Lorber

Howard M. Lorber is our President and Chief Executive Officer, and President and Chief Executive Officer of our parent, Vector Group Ltd. Since 1994, Mr. Lorber has actively managed Vector’s and New Valley’s diversified interests, which include New Valley’s broad portfolio of real estate projects located in the United States. Mr. Lorber serves as Executive Chairman of Douglas Elliman Realty, LLC, one of the nation’s oldest and largest real estate brokerage firms and a subsidiary of New Valley.

Throughout his career, Mr. Lorber has successfully led numerous corporations and, at different times, held positions simultaneously. He serves as Executive Chairman of Nathan’s Famous Inc. (NASDAQ: NATH) and a director of Clipper Realty, Inc. (NYSE: CLPR). He previously served as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ladenburg Thalmann Financial Services Inc. (NYSE American: LTS) from September 2006 until February 2020, when the company was acquired by Advisor Group, a portfolio company of Reverence Capital Partners. In 2017, Mr. Lorber received a Presidential appointment to serve as Chairman of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. He also serves on the board of Garden of Dreams, as Chairman of Southampton Hospital Foundation, and Co-Chairman of the Silver Shield Foundation–a non-profit organization that provides financial assistance towards the educational costs of children of police officers and firefighters killed in the line of duty.

Mr. Lorber holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, a Master of Science degree in Taxation, and an Honorary Doctorate from Long Island University, where he is also a trustee.

Richard J. Lampen

Richard J. Lampen is our Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of New Valley LLC and its parent, Vector Group Ltd. He also serves as a member of Vector’s Board of Directors and as a member of the Board of Managers of New Valley’s subsidiary, Douglas Elliman Realty, LLC. Most recently, Mr. Lampen served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Ladenburg Thalmann Financial Services (“Ladenburg”), a publicly-traded diversified financial services company, from September 2006 to February 2020 when the company was acquired by Advisor Group, a portfolio company of Reverence Capital Partners. Mr. Lampen also served as Chairman of Ladenburg Thalmann from September 2018 until the company was acquired. From October 2008 until October 2019, Mr. Lampen served as President and Chief Executive Officer and was a member of the Board of Directors of Castle Brands Inc. (“Castle”), a publicly-traded spirits company, prior to its acquisition by Pernod Ricard. Vector held an approximate 10% interest in Ladenburg and an approximate 8% equity interest in Castle.

Mr. Lampen serves as a member of the Executive Committee of the Frost Science Museum in Miami and as a member of the National Board of the American Jewish Committee. Mr. Lampen is the past Chair of the Board of Directors of the Financial Services Institute and the past Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Ransom Everglades School and is a director and past Chair of the Board of Directors of the Miami Children’s Museum.

Prior to joining Vector in 1995, Mr. Lampen was a partner at Steel Hector & Davis, a law firm located in Miami, Florida. Previously, Mr. Lampen was a Managing Director at Salomon Brothers Inc. Mr. Lampen has served as a director of a number of companies, including Ladenburg Thalmann Financial Services Inc., Castle Brands Inc., Douglas Elliman Realty, LLC, New Valley Corporation, U.S. Can Corporation, Spec’s Music Inc. and The International Bank of Miami, N.A., as well as a court-appointed independent director of Trump Plaza Funding, Inc.

Mr. Lampen received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Johns Hopkins University and a Juris Doctorate from Columbia Law School.

J. Bryant Kirkland III

Senior Vice President, Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer

J. Bryant Kirkland III has served as New Valley’s Senior Vice President, Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer since January 1998. He is also Vice President, Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer of Vector and has served in various financial capacities with Vector Group and its subsidiaries since July 1992. Mr. Kirkland has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors, President and Chief Executive Officer of Multi Solutions II, Inc. and Multi Soft II, Inc. since July 2012. From June 2001 until October 2002, Mr. Kirkland served as Chief Financial Officer of Ladenburg Thalmann Financial Services.

Mr. Kirkland received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an MBA from Barry University. Mr Kirkland is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in Florida, New York and North Carolina. From 2002 until 2006, Mr. Kirkland served on the Board of Visitors at North Carolina State University.  Mr. Kirkland is an avid runner who has completed the Miami, San Diego, Chicago, Arizona, New York and Boston Marathons.

Marc N. Bell

Senior Vice President, Secretary and Associate General Counsel

Marc N. Bell has been a Senior Vice President of New Valley since February 1998 and has served as Associate General Counsel and Secretary of New Valley since November 1994. Since May 1994, Mr. Bell has served as General Counsel and Secretary of Vector Group and since January 1998 as Vice President of Vector Group. Mr. Bell received a Juris Doctorate degree from Villanova Law School and an MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

Jonathan Lemle

Managing Director

Jonathan Lemle is responsible for the underwriting, structuring and execution of acquisitions as well as the asset management and financing of the firm’s investments. Mr. Lemle performs the day-to-day operations and management of the firm’s assets. During Mr. Lemle’s tenure, New Valley has closed on a diverse portfolio of assets, including ground-up residential condominium development, hotel development, and a retail center.

Prior to joining New Valley, Mr. Lemle worked at Zeckendorf Development, a luxury residential condominium developer, where he focused on 18 Gramercy Park South, 50 United Nations Plaza and 520 Park Avenue. Prior to Zeckendorf, Mr. Lemle worked at Street-Works Development/Scott-Lawrence Realty and Development, a mixed-use real estate developer and operator. While at both firms he was responsible for deal sourcing, underwriting, financing, entitlements and project management. Mr. Lemle began his career with Banc of America Securities in its Media/Telecom Investment Banking Group, where he underwrote debt and equity capital markets transactions as well as provided advisory services for merger and acquisition transactions for the firm’s clients. Jon holds a Masters in Business Administration from Columbia Business School and a Bachelors of Arts from Union College.

Dasha Milova

Dasha Milova joined New Valley after graduating with a Bachelors of Business Administration from the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College. She assists with the day-to-day operations of the New Valley Realty team, as well as helping to administer the diverse set of assets that New Valley currently holds in its portfolio.

Daniel Dockerty

Daniel Dockerty assists with the underwriting, structuring, and execution of acquisitions as well as the asset management and financing of the firm’s investments. Prior to joining New Valley, Mr. Dockerty worked at Starwood Property Trust, a publicly-traded mortgage REIT, where he assisted on the closing of over 30 loan originations totaling nearly $6 billion. Daniel holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business.
